COVID-19 Update

At Divine Eye Care, we are ensuring that physical distancing and appropriate disinfection protocols are maintained as per guidelines issued by Ministry of Health. All visitors are requested to wear a face covering (medical mask or home-made mask) and to sanitize their hands upon arrival.

Please inform us at (437) 377-0007 if you or anyone in your household has been, within 14 days of your scheduled appointment :

  • out of the country
  • feeling unwell (fever, cough, running nose, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, etc)
  • in contact with someone who is COVID+ or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19

We can either reschedule your appointment or arrange Tele-Optometry services for you. We sincerely hope you and your family remain safe and healthy.

In wake of COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking a lot of precautions to keep you safe.

Staff practices

  • Our staff wash hands before and after each patient interaction
  • Our staff wears face masks and gloves
  • We confirm with patients before examinations if they or anyone at their household have had any recent travel history, fever, respiratory symptoms, flu-like symptoms or any contact with COVID+ patient
  • Doctors use face shields and/or masks when examining patients

General office cleaning

  • High contact surfaces are wiped down between uses (e.g., doorknobs, reception desk, chairs, etc.)
  • All surfaces are wiped down at start and end of each day
  • Waiting room amenities have been removed (e.g., magazines, water cooler, coffee dispenser, etc.)

Patient practices

  • We ask only patients to come in for their appointments unless patient is a minor or elderly, in which case one guardian or care provider may accompany them
  • Patients are encouraged to fill new patient form online. If they wish to fill it on paper, we disinfect pens and clipboard between each use
  • Hand sanitizer is available at the reception area
  • If patients don’t have any face covering, masks are provided at reception desk at nominal cost

Equipment

  • We have installed cough / sneeze guards in reception area
  • All equipment is disinfected between each use
  • All medications or syringes are single-use and are discarded after use
  • Doctors offer contact lens patients extra instruction on cleaning and best practices

Optical

  • Frames in the optical are disinfected between each patient try-on
  • All solution bottles are cleaned and wiped down between each use (if not single-use)
  • Contact lenses are cleaned in a solution that kills all viruses, fungus, and bacteria
  • All contact lens cases provided by our office are brand new
